Luna y Sol Tapasbar in Bad Homburg

At "normal" times we were always more than satisfied here and I would have given 5 stars. But yesterday we used the pick-up service and unfortunately it was really bad. I understand very well when things don't go perfectly, especially with restaurants that normally don't offer delivery services. But yesterday we picked up food for around € 100. On site we first had to wait more than half an hour longer for our food until everything was ready. All the food was already cold and when we got home after a 10 minute drive, everything was freezing. Unfortunately, it's a shame, especially when you pay so much money for the food and then just have to have such an experience. So I definitely cannot recommend the delivery or pick-up service here.

First got the delivery from someone else and then my goat cheese with quince jelly was missing.

Simply great. Starting with the card and the offer. The tapas were delicious. And the fact that the whole thing is delivered is great. Also very nice employees who do not lose courage despite the corona crisis.

This is a really nice restaurant. The food was very delicious. The service was prompt, efficient, and friendly. It is a good place to come with kids as well. I can only recommend highly this place. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town

We went to luna y sol for dinner on a special occasion in September. As an allergy sufferer, I was happy that allergens were featured on the menu. So I just chose to eat what I could eat. The food itself was tasty but ok, the taste wasn't exceptional. Unfortunately, I felt sick while eating. I couldn't finish my meal. I had to flee the restaurant and had a very severe allergic reaction, so there must have been an allergen in a dish that I couldn't tolerate. A few days later I wrote to the restaurant, I was assured that there was nothing in it, but I can say with certainty that there was something in it. Well, the evening was very expensive, I had nothing from the food and a blatant allergic reaction. The trust is gone. We won't eat there anymore. That just can't be!

Long waiting times, we didn't particularly like the food. Much completely drowned in oil. Our seat was also quite cold and drafty. I didn't really want to create a mood like that.

The tapas were ok but the hygiene concept is a disaster: The tables are not properly spaced No ventilation The staff wasn't ready to open windows After a short time, the air was stuffy, if an infected person was sitting in the bar, his aerosols would be distributed throughout the room. We won't come back until the pandemic is over.

Very nice restaurant in Bad Homburg, a bit back, quiet, super nice service, delicious top-quality food and fair prices. 100% recommendation

The food is unfortunately nothing special, side dishes are not mentioned in the menu and you can expect more uncomfortable stools at the table for the high prices. Eating Spanish is definitely different. Any ambience, nothing really Spanish.

Just perfect. Super friendly and personable staff and, above all, delicious tapas. I am totally happy and will definitely be back.

The tapas are really delicious. Those who do not have their own garden or who are visiting the city like me can experience the atmosphere and the feeling for this here. Nice waiters take care of the needs of their guests with a lot of love. Really recommend.

The food is amazing! The service always very nice. When it is full, you sometimes have to wait a long time for your meal. Most of the time you are already made aware of this when you are greeted. Of course, it's not cheap either, but it's worth it 😋

We arrived Saturday 20:30 after booking. The atmosphere of the store is very good. No one was at the reception. After searching ourselves we found a waitress, who told us that because it is very crowded we have to wait 2 hours to eat !!!!!! The fullness of the store was 80%. After an hour comes the first dish, followed by a break of about an hour until the rest comes. When the bread was finished, four slices of baguette and we asked and another just did not come ..... We look again, this time they come but only three slices! One of the four of us will not eat .... Then in the bill the charge for the three slices was 2.5 €. I give 2 stars because the food was satisfactory.

Nice, shady courtyard, ideal for sitting outside. Nice service and delicious tapas. Very quiet area.

Fantastic menu and great service.

Incredibly good food, great, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and high quality! There were two of us, we had a great selection of tappas ... we feasted well and were full. And together for 70 €. (But this is only possible without alcoholic drinks 😉 They make a big difference, but we hardly drink anyway) Great experience!

The best tapas I've ever had in Germany, plus delicious drinks and very attentive service. The ambience in the summer garden is also really pleasant. I can only recommend this place!

Great tasting food and lots of it gluten free

We ordered 5 dishes. Each one was excellent. Service was outstanding. The beef rolls with feta were a favorite.

Our waiter was so friendly and spoke English well. We shared lots different tapas. They were all great but the stuffed beef with feta was amazing with a delicious spicy sauce. The salad with warm goat cheese was delicious! I highly recommend this place to walk over after you have soaked in the Taunus Therme hot springs in the morning!

Used to be a nice place, but not any more... Small portions, food is not as delicious as it was before. I love spanish tapas, but unfortunately Luna y sol disappointed me. Staff was friendly

One of the best tapas places I been for a long time. Good portions and service. One downside is that there in no parking at the restaurant..

Best tapas in Bad Homburg

I thought it was great 🤗🍻 friendly service, in spite of full local time the food was hot at the table, really delicious and above all fresh food (nothing from the tin ... directly from the tree or shrub 🤗👍👌) moderate prices, rustic cozy atmosphere and informal wardrobe ... We'll be back 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅

According to my wife better "Gambas al Ajillo" than in Madrid's Cafe Gijón but that's not a good comparison. Anyway, Luna & Sol has a nice terrace and menu card with tapas and drinks. A good place to taste Spanish flavour in Bad Homburg.

A small but highly convivial place with a large set of tapas that were great for all the ones we tested. The service was really nice and welcoming. I can only recommend it.
